Privacy policy

• Order details — your name, email, shipping address, and what you ordered. Your phone number if you give one for delivery.
• Your artwork and designs — the logos and images you upload, plus the design file describing how they are placed on the card.
• Payment information— handled entirely by Stripe. Card numbers are entered on Stripe's own checkout page and never touch our servers; we only see the last four digits and whether the charge succeeded.
• Your order history— if you give us an email address, your orders are saved against it so you can see them again and reorder. This is not an account with a password: you prove the address is yours by clicking a link we email you, and there is nothing for anyone to guess or steal. If you tick “save my info”, we also keep your shipping address so the next order fills itself in.
• Basic technical data — the standard request logs any web server keeps (IP address, browser, pages requested) used for security and debugging.

Your in-progress design is also held in your own browser's local storage so a refresh does not lose your work. That copy stays on your device and clearing your browser data removes it.

• To print, cut, pack, and ship your order.
• To email you a receipt, a ship-by date, and tracking.
• To answer your questions and resolve problems with an order.
• To keep records we are required to keep for tax and accounting.

At checkout there is a box for specials and promotions. It starts ticked, so clear it if you would rather not hear from us — and either way, every promotional email has a one-click unsubscribe, and you can change your mind any time on your orders page. Order emails — proofs, ship dates, tracking — are not marketing and are sent regardless, because they are about an order you placed.

We do not use your artwork in our own marketing, samples, or portfolio without your written permission.

Only the services that make an order happen, and only the data each one needs:

• Stripe — payment processing. Stripe handles your card data under its own privacy policy.
• USPS (via our shipping provider, Shippo) — your shipping address, so a label can be printed and the package tracked.
• Our hosting and database providers — they store the site and your order records on our behalf.

That is the whole list. We do not sell, rent, or trade personal information to anyone, and we do not share it with advertisers.

Order records are kept for as long as we need them for accounting, warranty, and tax purposes. Uploaded artwork and print files are kept so we can reprint a repeat order without you re-uploading; ask us and we will delete yours.

Email info@customearringcards.com to ask for a copy of the personal information we hold about you, to correct it, or to have it deleted. We will confirm your identity against your order and respond promptly. Deleting the data attached to an order that has not shipped may mean we cannot complete it.

Depending on where you live you may have additional rights over your personal information — including, in California, the right to know and to delete, and the right not to be discriminated against for exercising them. We honor these requests from everyone regardless of where they live.

We use only what the store needs to function: your cart, your light/dark theme choice, and the session Stripe needs to complete a payment. There are no advertising or cross-site tracking cookies on this site.

This is a business-to-business shop and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect their information.
